At Get Lit Candle Co., we believe in the power of sustainability and taking care of our planet. That's why we have implemented a special reuse and recycle program for our candle jars. We understand that our customers not only appreciate the beautiful scents and ambiance our candles provide but also want to make a positive impact on the environment.

When you purchase a candle from Get Lit Candle Co., you're not just getting a high-quality product that fills your space with delightful fragrances. You're also becoming part of our commitment to sustainability.

Here's how our reuse and recycle♻️ program works:

Reuse / Upcycle:

How it works:

After you have enjoyed your Get Lit candle and the wax has burned down, don't throw away the jar! You can remove any excess wax by using the freezer or a hair dryer. After all of the wax has been removed, clean with warm soap and water. If you’re not able to remove it all, we can get it out for you right here in-store. Our candle jars are designed to be reusable,  so you can give them a second life in various creative ways. 

You can also upcycle, and use them as stylish storage containers for small items like jewelry, office supplies, or even as a mini planter for succulents. Some are actually bourbon glasses too !! The possibilities are endless, and by reusing our candle jars, you're reducing waste and adding a touch of eco-friendly elegance to your space. Our room spray  and diffuser bottles are recyclable as well.

Recycle:

If you no longer have a use for your candle jar or it has reached the end of its life, we encourage you to recycle it responsibly. Glass is highly recyclable and can be melted down and repurposed into new products, reducing the demand for raw materials and energy consumption.

Simply remove any remaining wax and wick, give the jar a thorough clean, and place it in your recycling bin. By recycling our candle jars, you're helping to close the loop and contribute to a more sustainable future. You can also gather all of your Get Lit candle jars, and bring them back to our Northlake Mall location.

As a token of our appreciation for participating in our reuse and recycle program, we offer a special discount of a $1 off per jar on your next purchase when you bring back your empty (or not so empty) Get Lit Candle Co. jars to our store. It's our way of saying thank you for being an eco-conscious customer. Please note that your purchase must be made at the time of recycling!
